The Leeds Edit: Anthropologie

Something that I really love about Leeds is that it literally has every shop that you could ever want. Topshop, Zara, Harvey Nichols etc… and even the Victoria Quarter (renamed ‘The posh bit’ by me and my mum), which has loads of higher end shops, where I’ve been tempted to blow my entire student loan in one go, but thankfully that hasn’t happened yet.

There is a new addition to the plethora of places to shop and that is in the form of Victoria Gate. Inside, there are lots of new, lovely shops including & Other Stories, COS, T2 and to add to the madness, a giant John Lewis (madness in a good way).

However, my favourite addition is the new Anthropologie store, literally every homeware lovers dream come true. Every single thing I am convinced that I need; whether it’s one of their gorgeous candles or if it’s a pretty ceramic kitchen utensil that you’d probably never have a use for, but still confidently place in your basket whilst convincing yourself that it’s essential.

It’s spread across two floors and doesn’t follow any particular order in terms of clothes on one floor and homeware another, it’s kind of all just mixed up nicely which makes it interesting when you’re wandering around.

It’s also a fab place to go and look for Christmas presents, and so what better time to go and have an explore than now!

Autumn 2016 Wishlist

As soon as Autumn begins to come around again, I’m straight on it. Hot chocolate, fluffy socks, big coats and it wouldn’t be right if the odd turtleneck wasn’t thrown into the mix. I feel as if Autumn really brings out my inner grandma vibe and I bloody love it.

I don’t know what it is about the Autumn fashion, but I always seem to have a hefty wishlist and all in all, I just way prefer looking for items that are going to 1. look good 2. make me feel like I’m still in bed whilst still looking sane (not my popping to sainsbury’s in my pj’s to buy 10 kinder buenos look).

Something I’m still loving is pastels. Anything blush pink catches my eye, which is odd for me as I’ve never really owned much pink clothing before. I think including the odd pastel piece changes it up from the ‘stereotypical’ colours that you often associate with the colder months such as burnt oranges, burgundy and moss green. However, I don’t anticipate not wearing these colour-ways either, it’s Autumn after all, dress like a dying leaf.

All I know is for now, sod the denim shorts, I’m temporarily morphing into a cosy marshmallow.

Work-out Wishlist: Forever 21

Firstly, I apologise for the lack of post on Sunday! I haven’t been feeling too well and so was cooped up in my room trying to recover, a.k.a feeling sorry for myself. However, I’m all good now and so I thought a good thing to post was the rather hefty wishlist I created whilst I was ill. I found myself searching for activewear and this is probably due to the hours of lying in the darkness watching repeats of escape to the country, which evidently made me miss actually leaving the house and going to the gym.

I have a few pieces of gym-wear which I mix and match but it does get a bit boring wearing the same things all the time. I know it’s only the gym and you’re effectively just sweating in the clothes *lovely* but I like to change it up a bit and when I find pieces I feel good in, it makes me so much happier and gives me a boost of confidence. I follow a few girls on Instagram that post all their snazzy gym outfits but when following the links to the items, soon realised that I could not afford to fork out £85 (yes 85 english pounds) on a single pair of leggings. Ain’t got time for that. After searching for a while and being disappointed with LuLuLemon/Sweaty Betty prices, I saw Forever 21 come up on my search and decided to have a gander. AMAZING. They have so many items – leggings, tops, sports bras in a variety of patterns and colours and they’re all super affordable, even more amazing.

These are some of my favourite pieces that I found on the site and they’re all under £20. I hope you enjoy looking through them! I’m definitely going to pick some items up when I get paid and will report back on what they’re like quality wise!

Summer Wishlist: ASOS

Online shopping is something that I love to do. I say ‘shopping’ but on a student budget, most of the time it’s more like me adding things that I want to my basket and then staring at the total in defeat and sorrow. Nevertheless, I love to look through what’s available and ASOS is the perfect place to do so, simply because it literally sells everything. I always go through saving pieces because that way I can look back at everything like a kind of style board and pick up pieces whenever I have the funds… or whenever I get an email saying they have 20% student discount, oops.

It would be out of character for me not to have created a summer wishlist, which is quite ironic with it tipping down with rain outside, but I’m an optimist. Some of the standout pieces were these beautiful Quay Australia rose gold sunglasses, Reebok trainersPull&Bear striped jumpsuit and New look chiffon skirt which is quite girly for me but I absolutely love the colour.

There are still loads more items that i’m eyeing up and so I hope that you enjoy looking through and maybe you’ll like some of the pieces too!
